Some of you might know that I design and make resin jewellery under the label Hokey. Well, something kinda cool happened last night, one of my pieces was worn on the premiere of a new Australian television show on channel 7 called 'winners and losers'. If you are interested you can watch the episode here (you can really see it at the 19.30 minute mark) Granted, it's not the most intelligent thing you could watch, but it does look stunning on the actress and I can't help feeling just a little bit proud.

One last thing, if you want to own your own necklace, you can buy one here. The proceeds will be used to help me move into a new studio space as I made the sad decision today to move out from my current one to save money, and I'm going to be stuck making my designs from my boyfriend's bedroom for the next month or so. I'm sure it will be fun and kinda cozy, but not quite ideal in the long term.

Scones and jam are my all-time favourite treat and are super easy to whip up for afternoon tea. I use 2 cups of self raising flour, around a quarter of a cup of sugar, around 60 grams of melted butter and half a cup of milk. Simply mix well, roll out with a rolling pin and cut into nice round shapes using a small glass. bake for 30 minutes (or until just slightly golden in colour) at 180 degrees, then enjoy with raspberry jam and a big mug of hot tea. Yum.

Friday is my day off from work and is generally the day that I spend sleeping in and catching up on all the small things I need to get done during the week. So I have decided to make Friday a bumper-blog post day and share five things that have caught my eye or that I have particularly enjoyed during the week.

1. Red lipstick. Always.

2. This outfit. Love the effortless feel and the colours are perfect.

3. Hermes' I love my scarf website. Full of scarf-wearing inspiration, so many ideas I want to try.

4. This ace series from great blog size too small. What would famous women from history wear if they were alive today? Includes some of my favourites, Katharine Hepburn, Jane Austen and Joan of Arc.

5. I can't wait to get my hands on Johnathan Safran Foer's new book. It looks truly unique and pretty damn amazing too.

Tomorrow, in a year

A few nights ago my boy got us tickets to see the contemporary opera 'Tomorrow, in a year'. I'm not usually a great opera fan but the music was by one of my favorite groups, The Knife (I'm sure I must have blogged about my obsession with The Knife/Fever Ray before now) Anyway, if you are interested, watch the video above, it was probably one of the strangest and most mind blowing music experiences I've encountered.
